Northwest Colorado COAD
The Northwest Colorado Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) brings together nonprofit, governmental, voluntary & faith-based organizations to address the needs of the people in Northwest Colorado, effectively and equitably, in times of disaster so that the potential impacts are minimized.
The COAD coordinates before and throughout the four phases of disaster: preparation, response, recovery and mitigation, and partners with county emergency management to ensure effective, efficient, and streamlined service delivery when a crisis occurs, eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort.

In-kind donations and volunteer help are organized on an as-needed basis. Please let us know how you can support response efforts by filling out the VOLUNTEER form linked above. You will be contacted when a need arises.
Fishhook Fire & Green Ridge Fire
There is no immediate need for in-kind or monetary donations for current incidents, and, for the safety of firefighters and emergency personnel, we ask that you stay out of the staging and firefighting areas.
If you would like to support local organizations responding to the current wildfires with a monetary donation, here are some options:
- Oak Creek Fire Protection District – supporting Green Ridge Fire
- Routt First Responders – supports first responders and their families in Routt County
- Routt County Crisis Support – supports community members and first responders after crisis events
- United Way of the Yampa Valley – provides support for individuals directly impacted by the fires
