Federal & State Funding – 2026

In the Spring of 2025, the Yampa Valley Community Foundation conducted a survey of nonprofit organizations serving Moffat and Routt Counties to better understand how shifting federal and state funding priorities were impacting our community. The survey received responses from 46 nonprofits working in the Yampa Valley. You can find the results of that survey here. One common statement from nonprofits who filled out the survey was that there was still a significant amount of uncertainty regarding how the shifting federal priorities would impact future granting. The survey below is to follow-up on our findings and see how nonprofits budgets were impacted in 2025, and what changes you anticipate for 2026.

Please take 3-5 minutes to fill out the survey below regarding your organization’s funding from state and federal grantmaking. All responses will be kept anonymous – we only ask for your organization name to follow up if we can assist with anything mentioned in the survey. Only nonprofit organizations who regularly receive federal and/or state grants (or plan to receive them this year) should fill out the survey.
