Season 19 of IMPACT100 was an inspiring and impactful season of giving. We are proud to congratulate Advocates of Routt County, the winning nonprofit, awarded a $10,000 grant to assist their work supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout Routt County and Northwest Colorado.
In their presentation to IMPACT100 members, Advocates outlined plans to use the grant to enhance safety and comfort for survivors staying at the organization’s emergency shelter. Planned improvements include:
- Children’s Enrichment Area: A new backyard playset and updated children’s space with social-emotional learning tools.
- Upgraded Appliances: Replacing aging, inefficient equipment used daily by residents.
- Modernized Security System: Ensuring every survivor can sleep peacefully and safely.
Season 19 also recognized the other two finalists with grant funding: Routt County Search and Rescue received $6,000 and Rocky Mountain Youth Corps was awarded $3,000.
Routt County Search and Rescue (RCSAR) will use their grant to purchase a new Outlander 100 ATV with a track system and a titanium rescue litter with a carbon wheel and skid, which is used to transport people out of the backcountry. “The skid makes it easier for us to get someone out of the backcountry if we can’t get a snowmobile or a side-by-side to them,” said Bobby Carlton, President RCSAR. “That’s going to make our rescuers’ jobs a whole lot easier during the wintertime.”
Rocky Mountain Youth Corps will use their grant to sustain critical service programs following significant reductions in federal funding.
Since its launch in the Yampa Valley in 2006, IMPACT100 has granted $241,300 to 58 local nonprofit organizations. Through pooling resources from 100 people each donating a minimum of $100, IMPACT100 makes meaningful impact and promotes local philanthropy and community engagement. Three social and educational events throughout the season provide an opportunity for members to learn about various nonprofits and make informed decisions about where the pooled funds should be allocated.
