Another successful season of IMPACT100 is in the books! Congratulations to Brighter World Child Advocacy Center who was the winning nonprofit for Season 17, receiving a $10,000 grant. Brighter World’s mission is to elevate voices, facilitate safety, seek justice, and promote healing for children, teens, and other at-risk individuals who have been abused or neglected. The Child Advocacy Center provides the following services for victims and their families: a convenient, family-friendly space; access to a forensic interview and medical exam; an interviewer trained specifically to work with children; and immediate access to information, resources, and referrals for the family.
Congratulations also to Community Budget Center and Steamboat Reading, the other nonprofit finalists who each received $2,000 in funding. All three organizations gave very inspirational presentations, and they are all winners!
Thanks to Mythology Distillery for hosting the event at their incredible outdoor whiskey garden, and to Ski Town Gourmet for providing the delicious food.
Since its launch in the Yampa Valley in 2006, IMPACT100 has granted $208,800 to 56 local nonprofit organizations.
IMPACT100 is a program designed to promote local philanthropy and community engagement. The concept of pooling resources from at least 100 people – each donating a minimum of $100 – to support local nonprofit organizations is a great way to make a meaningful impact. Three social and educational events throughout the season provide an excellent opportunity for members to learn about various nonprofits and make informed decisions about where the funds should be allocated.
