The Yampa Valley Community Foundation announces the creation of the Town of Hayden Community Fund. Looking for a way to strengthen and build your local community during challenging times? This new fund aims to support specific projects in the Town of Hayden, as identified by the Town Council that work for the betterment of the community as a whole.

The Town hopes to bolster public support and donations for such programs and projects as the Hayden Center, the Hayden Business Incubator, Hayden Parks and Recreation, and increase partners through the Hayden Economic Development Fund.

Hayden Center: The Town is very excited to be redeveloping the old Hayden High School which will become the Hayden Center, becoming what will be a multi-use community center that will immediately provide recreational services and long-term performing arts, culinary, and technical trades programs. The Town is pressing forward with this project per the Community’s desires and support. Donations will help make this multi-year project a reality.

Hayden Business Incubator: The Town acquired the Historic Farrington Carpenter Building at the end of 2019 and will be redeveloping it into a business incubator, helping to support wonderful entrepreneurship opportunities in Northwest Colorado. Donations for this project can be made through the Town of Hayden Community Fund, or for those who wish to take advantage of special incentives like Colorado Enterprise Zone Tax Credits for vacant buildings and historic tax credits, please contact Mathew Mendisco, Town Manager.

Donations to the Town of Hayden Community Fund at YVCF are considered charitable contributions for tax purposes. Remember to take advantage of the new CARES Act’s one time “above-the-line” deduction for cash contributions of up to $300 made in 2020, to be taken on filing in 2021.
