In response to the Elk, Lee, and Crosho wildfires in Northwest Colorado, the Yampa Valley Community Foundation has activated the Yampa Valley Disaster Recovery Fund, as well as funds specific to Elk & Lee Wildfire Recovery and Crosho Wildfire Recovery.

The Yampa Valley Disaster Recovery Fund helps meet the immediate and long‑term relief and recovery needs of the people and places affected by environmental or man‑made disasters in the Yampa Valley region.

When activated by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, the Fund mobilizes resources quickly and equitably, working with local partners to address evolving community needs from day one through full recovery.

In partnership with United Way of the Yampa Valley and with oversight of grants committees seated specifically for these disasters, funding will be deployed quickly and on an ongoing basis to nonprofits and agencies serving the affected communities.

Donations into these funds are tax-deductible and non-refundable. Donations in excess of what is needed to address relief and recovery from the current wildfires will remain in the fund to assist with future disasters.
