Communications Guidelines for NPI Grant Recipients

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs in partnership with Yampa Valley Community Foundation is responsible for administering the Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant Program. Through a competitive process, nonprofits across the state have been selected to receive this one-time grant funding to help build capacity of nonprofits that serve historically marginalized communities in Colorado.

Acknowledging Your Grant

  • As listed in your grant agreement, “The Grantee agrees to acknowledge the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) in any and all materials or events designed to promote or educate the public about the Work and the Project, including but not limited to: press releases, newspaper articles, op-ed pieces, press conferences, presentations and brochures/pamphlets.”
  • Please use the following language whenever you refer to those responsible for administering this grant: “The Colorado Department of Local Affairs in partnership with Yampa Valley Community Foundation.” Where space is constrained, you may use the acronyms: “DOLA” and “YVCF.”

Publicizing your Grant

YVCF publicizes our grants through local media and as stories in our newsletters, website, social media, and/or annual report. We encourage you to tell your organization’s story about receiving your grant in your own communications efforts. We would appreciate receiving copies of your media highlights, photographs, and video links that demonstrate how your grant-funded work benefits the community. There is a space for highlights on your quarterly reports but for best results, please email stories to greg@yvcf.org.
