Nonprofit Education
YVCF is the trusted resource for local nonprofit organizations in Routt and Moffat Counties, providing tools and training to increase effectiveness and sustainability and help amplify impact.
In mid-2025 YVCF will be launching a Sustaining Nonprofits Training Series to help nonprofit professionals and board members build skills and knowledge around effective nonprofit management. In addition to our training sessions, we invite nonprofits to reach out anytime with general questions or for specific guidance about nonprofit management and practices. Contact Greg Hamilton for more information.
Scenario Planning
Nonprofits are constantly balancing today’s challenges with tomorrow’s unknowns. What happens if your biggest grant disappears? What if your community’s needs shift overnight? What if the plans you made this year… don’t match the reality next year?

In this hands-on training, strategic planning consultant Jeremy Anderson will introduce a practical approach to scenario planning—helping nonprofit leaders and teams stop reacting to change and start preparing for it. Together, we’ll explore how to map out different futures, test your assumptions, and leave with simple tools your organization can use right away.
Expect candid conversation, relatable examples, and a chance to learn alongside fellow nonprofit leaders in our region. Whether you’re worried about funding, leadership, operations, or evolving community needs, this session will give you a fresh way to think ahead.
