Along with the changing season,
September has brought change to the community foundation.
Mark Andersen recently announced that he will be resigning as the Executive Director. Mark accepted a position with a private family foundation in Steamboat. He views this as a once in a lifetime opportunity that he is unable to refuse.
Mark’s resignation as Executive Director will be effective by the end of the year.
Mark’s past ten years with the Community Foundation has been benefited all aspects of this organization. Upon his departure, he reflects, “The Community Foundation is stronger than ever. The Foundation has a knowledgeable staff, a dedicated Board of trustees and an overabundance of individuals who believe in our mission of connecting people who care with causes that matter. As an ardent believer in the power of philanthropy, I will always be a strong advocate, available resource and avid supporter of the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.”
“Mark has been the face of the Community Foundation for a long time. During his tenure, the Foundation has grown in every way measurable: donors, assets, funds, relationships with non-profits. He has been an outstanding leader and we will miss him.”
